NYE fireworks in Geelong

The skies of Geelong will light up with spectacular fireworks not once but twice on New Year’s Eve.

For the first time ever in Geelong there will be a dusk and midnight fireworks display thanks to the generosity of The Geelong Times, Bay FM and the City of Greater Geelong.

The Fireworks at Dusk schedule will also include roving entertainment and rides on Cunningham Pier and Steampacket Quay from 5.30pm. The early fireworks will set off at approximately 9.15pm and will conclude the event.

The Event Management Company P/L currently coordinates the ANZ New Year Waterfront Festival, which includes the iconic New Year on the Waterfront event, this year headlined by Eskimo Joe, and the ANZ Family Day on the Waterfront which provides free rides, activities and entertainment on New Year’s Day at Steampacket Gardens. Fireworks at Dusk is another feather in the cap of the ANZ New Year Waterfront Festival.

Director of The Event Management Company P/L, Rick Clingan, said: “We are thrilled to present two spectacular fireworks displays on New Year’s Eve.

The Fireworks at Dusk is a fantastic opportunity for young families and the Geelong community to come out on a special night and enjoy the festivities in a beautiful location. Adding this event to our schedule boosts the ANZ New Year Waterfront Festival,” Mr Clingan said.

Fireworks at Dusk are proudly sponsored by long-time media partners Geelong Times and Bay FM.

Geelong Times Publisher Anton Ballard said: “It is indeed exciting to sponsor the inaugural Fireworks at Dusk on the Waterfront this New Years Eve. It will be a fantastic family event in a truly magnificent setting.”

BayFM General Manager Dean Anglin said: “BayFM is very excited to be involved in this new and exciting component of the Festival. We look forward to sharing the early evening with Geelong families.
